Know When to Hold ‘Em

May 2, 2017 By Jill Kalter

Revolver and Bullets and Concealed Weapon Permit“Your Condo/HOA Tip of the Day”

Do you know the conceal carry laws in your state? If you live in a Community Association the governing documents, upheld by the Board, may prohibit you from carrying a weapon into the common elements, i.e. the clubhouse or pool. Although the 2nd Amendment allows us the Right to Bear Arms the governing documents of your Association are in place for the safety and welfare of the community. If you live in an Association you give up some freedom because there are reasonable rules and regulations to live by as dictated in the Declarations. If you carry, be mindful to keep your weapon safely stored, and while you have the right to carry your firearm or to keep it in your home for protection, it is likely you are prohibited to bring your weapon into the common elements.
